After tumultuous decades leading the PLC, the first rock band that is also a religion, front man Mr. Pope finds himself at last in the West Coast wonderland of Los Angeles - only to find his rock and roll aspirations are no longer unique. Getting his bearings proves to be more difficult than anticipated as love throws the Mad Cult Leader for a loop. Century Girl combines the experimental, hands-down, genre bending mind-scene rock Pope has come to be appreciated for. Rolled inside a personal exploration of unrequited love, loss, getting by, turmoil and debauchery.

Jangling sound, bluesy beats, hard hitting riffs and some absurdism all add to the colorful and unique scheme that is this album.

Perhaps the most personal album from Mr. Pope to date, and the first addition in the series crediting both the band and the marked man himself since Mr. Pope's Jamboree (The House of 1000 Eyes and Other Stories, Act II: Our Story Thus Far)
